Books on Hiking in Western NY

  • "Take a Hike! Family Walks in the Rochester Area," by Rich and Sue Freeman, lists 60 walks in the Rochester Area and includes information on the difficulty of the hike, the terrain, distance and estimated time to finish the walk. In addition, it includes where to park and how to find the trails. (Is available from the Monroe County Library System and for purchase online or in bookstores.

    • Doors open Monday through Sunday at 7 A.M.
    • 1 Lap = 1.1 mile (Includes each entrance corridor & food court),
    • Main corridor only = 0.74 mi. (Prime corridor, no food court),
    • Short loop = 0.28 mi.
  • The Mall at Greece Ridge Center
    • Doors open Monday through Saturday at 7:30 A.M. and Sunday at 9 A.M.
    • 1 lap through all corridors is about 1.6 mi.
  • Irondequiot Mall
    • Doors open Monday - Saturday at 7:30 A.M.& Sunday at 9 A.M.
    • 1 lap around Upper Level, (not around food court or carousel) = ½ mile. 2 laps around lower level = 1 ¼ miles
  • The Marketplace Mall
    • Doors open Monday through Saturday at 7 A.M. and Sunday at 9 A.M.
    • 1 lap through all corridors is about 1 mile.
