Should I do stretching or flexibility exercises?
In addition to doing moderate physical activity, you can get benefits from
doing stretching and flexibility exercises.
Flexibility activities stretch and bend your major muscle groups. Flexibility can help
prevent muscle and joint injuries. These activities can also reduce stiffness of joints
and increase range of motion. Examples of flexibility exercises include:
- Stretching exercises
- Gardening
- Mopping the floor
- Tai Chi
- Bowling
- Yoga
- Dance
